nock high with fletched arrows
«

Hi guys yesterday I was shooting a few arrows and saw that my fletched arrows fly nock high. my bare shaft tuning was perfect but once fletched the hit a bit nock high in the target. why is this tried to adjust the nocking height but it only goes higher. when i lower the nock it starts to bounce fo the shelf and hit hi again.
what can this be?

If bare shafts truly are tuned then I'd start by just rotating the nock if you can to try your fletchings in different positions to rule out the simple things first. Changing the nocking point now will throw off your initial tune. What makes you think they're flying nock high, the impact angle in your target or can you actually see it in flight?

Could be a little bit of quill kick.

Could be several things, and it could be OK, depending upon how high you are speaking.
Could be your anchor ( hold) is torquing the arrow, making it do that. Could be arrow contact. Could be fletch contact. Could be the target materials too.
Try something easy first. Reverse your arrow so that the cock feather is in and just see what that does.

I had a similar thing happen. I was shooting 5" shield cut 4 fletched arrows. Flew like darts bare shaft, but the feather contacting was making the nock end kick high left. The four long feathers were enough to have the flight back straight by about 5 yards and the impact point was the same, so it wasn't a big deal. But I didn't like it. I stripped two feathers and tried it as a two fletch and they shoot perfectly now.

Shot my bow today. And it seems like the arrowa are still to stiff. I will cut of the feathers and start tuning with 150 or 165 grain field points.

Try cock feather in toward the riser or adjusting the nock a little bit. How tight is the nock fit on the serving?
