***In Search of My Old Black Canyon ***
« on: January 08, 2016, 11:14:00 AM »
At least a year ago if not longer I sold a Black Canyon recurve that I had purchased from Tom Jenkins. For the life of me I can't remember who I sold it to but I would like to find it to see if the current owner would consider parting with it. Here is what it looked like....Any help locating it would be greatly appreciated!

Sweet Bow.  I hope you find it.  I have Black Canyon takedown longbow and will have a matching recurve in about 6 months.

Mike makes a heck of a bow.

Had a brain fart and sold it right? I've done it. I was lucky and got mine back. Now you'd have to pry it from my cold dead hands! Good Luck!

I bought it from a tradgang member last year.  Hate to say it but I just can't part with it....shoot it every day and hands down my favorite bow.  Liked it so much I got one with a heavier draw weight for my elk bow.

As soon as I saw a thread with Black Canyon in the title and started to read the first line I thought "sure hope it's not mine so I don't have to ruin someone's day".   :)    As soon as I saw those limbs I knew I had your old bow.  If I ever decide to part with it I will be sure to let you know.

Fred is sick people, always has been-always will be... Who knows maybe the new Toelke Pika may have cured him. He sure does like it..    :readit:

He had ANOTHER Black Canyon that he sold before this one that was the best longbow I ever shot, a simple 3pc with black glass and grey dymondwood riser. 64" 53@28.   He went and sold it before I could snatch it from him. It wasn't right. Like I said... Sick

Anyway, if anyone knows where that bow is let me know.

I just realized that I never posted pictures of my new Black Canyon on here.   58" and 53 lbs @27".  Grey Dymondwood riser with bacote limbs.  Still working on getting used to the extra poundage but it is coming along nicely.

He's on the cover of the new Compton news letter
