I grew up shooting recurves but I will dance with any gal that'll dance with me. I am increasingly drawn to bows that are unusual or come with a bit of history or mystery. I find myself wanting to find out about those snakey-looking selfbows carved out of a meandering stave of osage or hickory.

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

I like longbows and recurves. Take-downs only. I love the idea of a short bow, but can't shoot them well; as a result, I shoot longer bows only.
I desperately long to buy a Java Man Falcon, but after finding that I couldn't shoot it well, I decided to stick with what works for me.

I'm a bow porn addict. Have eleven right now, which, by some standards isn't a lot, but is for me. Some recurves and longbows, some one and some three piece. Like 'em all and shoot 'em all. Have my eye on a nice Bob Lee Heavyweight on another site but have resisted so far. Hoping someone else picks it up, rescuing me from temptation.

I've always preferred recurves. I like the bigger handles and greater over-all weight. Usually 60-64" lengths.

I started with a Montana longbow; I currently shoot a Dorado recurve,
AND I THOUGHT I wanted a new longbow
UNTIL I made a trip to Black Widow the other day. It was the first time I've ever had the chance to shoot lots of different styles of bows back to back.
I now know I prefer the way a recurve shoots... at least the way a Black Widow takedown shoots compared to their longbows or my own Dorado.

I don't NEED any more bows Bucky. WANT? Now that's a different story. You let me hold your Kanati but Tom let me shoot his Wes Wallace Stealth. Maybe I need a Stealth.

It seems as if the asl style just feels right for me. Nothing against the others, they just don't feel as good.
