Still haven't found any sheds this year. However, a few weeks back the pup did lock up and spin 180° to dive under a bushy Pine and found this.

At first, I thought it was a dead deer or something by the color of the frame in the vegetation. Seems its been there at least a season, with the vegetation grown up around it (not piled up on it), and the fabric/straps faded a bit.

Not sure why someone would haul this thing all the way to the middle of 11 acres, to leave it under a nondescript pine among 100's of the same....literally in the middle of where all the deer hide and bed.

  :dunno:

AND another pile of sheds for you!!!!!
Whats your count up to for the year?
Some of these were found by my friend that goes with me usually.  I haven't stopped to count how many I have right now?

All I found yesterday were old antlers. The brownies were in hiding or somebody else had already been in the area.

I've found this old antler about three times over the years, the critters must not have liked the taste of it?

Also found a winter killed buck. Lots of lions in the area, but pretty sure this buck wasn't a lion kill because the whole skeleton was intact and the nose hadn't been chewed off.

We aren't allowed to take skulls with antlers attached, so pics are all I brought home.

Today I found the Mangy Coyote I have watched all summer and Fall.  I guess this mild winter was too much.

No antlers though.

As you can see in this trail cam photo, he has a body to match the mass in his rack.

Awesome buck and so great to see the body those were on in the trail cam pic.

John, what you reckon he weighs on the hoof?

I'm guessing mid to upper 300s

Here he is in July...

I don't want to speculate on his live weight but it would have to be over 300.

Found this set on Saturday morning. With an estimated 19" inside spread they gross score just a hair over 183". Biggest sheds I have ever found by far.

My son has taking a liking to them as well.

That main frame 8 is unbelievable!!!  The mass is incredible!  I wouldn't know what to do if I ever saw a deer like that on the hoof.
