Saying "Hi" again.
« on: January 18, 2016, 07:06:00 PM »
I really dislike the New Year Resolution thing. I'm the kind of buzzkill stoic that thinks resolutions should be a private and continual habit. I think I've inadvertantly made my own kind of New Years Resolution though.

I use to frequent here. And though I've never met anyone on the boards there were several I considered friends. I've gotten nearly all my gear here, and acquired most my "book knowledge" here. I vividly remember when our own Mr. Lamb had the misfortune of crossing paths with thieves and how the board took care of their own like family.

Couple of years ago I decided to chase a career. Since the Summer of '13 I've changed careers, moved States, married, changed jobs again, moved States again, had a son, bought a house, went through a lay-off and have not made it to the woods once. I let go of maybe 30 arrows.  I'm okay with not hunting or shooting a lot, but not okay with letting life keep me something I love. Besides, I need to get proficient enough to pass it on to my son now.

Hope to  see some old friends still around, and make a few new ones as well.
