Tom let me shoot one of his bows when I stopped in back in the fall.  I havent shot too many bows, but the one I shot was  very smooth shooting.  Id like to get one for myself one day, I'll just have to save up or trade for one

I have a 64" Traditions that I will never part with. It's my shortest ASL but it feels more stable with less stacking than my 66" and 68" bows. There is something magical about the way Tom tillers the limbs.

I don't know that many or if any will understand but when I put my hand to a bow if it doesn't take me to "Sherwood" our time spent together is over.

My 2 cents worth!

God bless,Mudd

Archery isn't something I do, it's who I am!
The road to "Sherwood" makes for an awesome journey.

interesting.

what does "ASL" stand for these dayze?

"american straight longbow"?

if so, an odd name.  we called, er, we still call hill style longbows what hill called them - "AFL" - american flat longbow, to differentiate from the "D" cross section shaped ELB (english longbow).  an "AFL" could be straight, string follow, or tip reflexed.  any form of R/D renders it no longer an "AFL".  if a longbow has even mild R/D, that disappears to a "D" limb shape when string, it is what it is at that point, a hybrid longbow.
