Alabama Opening Weekend Success (PICS)

We had a great opening weekend of Alabama bow season. We saw 40 deer, 10 of which were bucks. We've got about 300 acres of corn and lots of acorns. This is my first year bow hunting by myself. I was sitting in a ladder stand in an old road bed on the edge of a corn field. I saw a bobcat chasing a squirrel and a monster fox squirrel. At about 8:30 I looked behind me and saw a doe and 2 spotted fawns. She never came closer than 30 yards but I doubt I would have shot her because of the fawns. Dad and Conan had good luck this weekend with 2 deer and passed up several more. I know my time will come and hope to post some pictures of my own deer before long. I've shot a lot with a rifle, but has been tough with a bow but it has been fun. Hope you enjoy the pix.

OK everyone, after re-reading my post, it sounds as if I'm giving up. Not gonna happen! I bow hunted last year and it was tough. This year I'm hunting alone and I'm gonna do everything I can to make it happen.......Looks like Vance (IRON BULL) is gonna visit next week and just maybe we'll get to hunt....THX for the encouragement.
