Tolke Chinook

One of the fun parts of hunting with a lot of different guys is seeing and shooting all their bows!  A buddy of mine had one of these at the hunt this past weekend and it was easily the QUIETEST recurve I have ever shot.  Like longbow quiet!  Every time he shot it, it just blew me away.  Very light, compact, and scary quiet.

A 2 piece Chinook is in my near future. I have this set of myrtle limb veneers just waiting to be sent to Dan.

Daniel, that bow was really nice.  Quietest curve I've ever heard or shot and by a huge margin.  Longbow quiet is not an exaggeration in this case.  I thought I would want a 60" if I ever ordered one but shooting the 58" changed my mind.  Your Centaur was extremely quiet too.  Those two bows are now at the top of my wish list.

I am admittedly a shameless Toelke fan but quiet bows are the only kind Dan and Jared make. Every bow in the Toelke line goes through a long, extensive R&D period before production. The design is very efficient, hence quiet or it won't be produced. Try any of them but the Super Ds are ridiculous.

Yup!!  Told ya so is what I say!  The Chinook was a revelation the first time I shot one.  Quiet as a Whip!  And quicker even!  A 2pc is in my future to be the mate of my Pika.  Then I truly will "have it all".  Any doubters are missing out.  Toelke stands among the best, plain and simple.   :D

I've been lucky enough too get a Chnook and SS. Both 2 pic which I am hooked on the Chinok is 58" and the SS is 64". Love them both both are packed right now for a weekend hog hunt in S Texas.

Chinook is the best recurve available IMO. Shooting qualities, materials and craftsmanship exceeded by no one.

Dang I didn't realize there were so many Toelkes in camp.  

That two piece whip Marty had was smoking with his draw length but I will never get rid of my Super D

Daniel You and Joe are correct, that little bow is quite. I have a whip and I cannot tell any difference in sound between the two. Dan simply makes some really fine bows...... Now if I can just get Kade to quite losing those expensive Gold tips he shoots out of it.Its breaking ole Dad..lol.

Fred, that's because you weren't there long enough! Glad for the time you did spend with us though - looking forward to the next time for sure.

Terry - my two yahoos are grown up now, but they quit losing so many arrows when I started making them either pay for, or make their own. Funny how that worked!

I just got off the phone with Dan a little bit ago. There is a strong possibility of a Pika TD in my future.

I will agree on the chinook.  Very quiet for a recurve.  Alot of nice bows were in camp.  How's caribow, Daniels's centaur and hill country, etc...

Toelke recurves are quiet, period. I have owned a 58" Lynx for about 5 years and also had a 2 pc Chinook for about a year. Both of them fall into that "longbow quiet" category. It is amazing the efficiency that Dan and Jared can get out of their bows.    :thumbsup:
