I watched something very similar tonight from my stand. Mature doe and a button buck took turns grooming eachother, then she let him feed. I got to watch em for an hour and a half. Nice night in the woods. Thanks for another cool pic.

I watched the same thing the other night, on the first day , I whacked a doe with a big fawn with " the other bow", for freezer meat. A couple nights later, a doe came in on me and she had 2 fawns of significantly different size. Apparently her and her little fawn picked up the big fawn of the doe I shot the other week. Even though he( a button buck) was big enough to make it on his own, she let him feed from her, while her own doe-fawn broused.Talk about a mother instinct. It was a pretty cool sight though, and since she had her hands full, I let her pass, even though it would have been my first trad kill. It was too cool to watch. Unfortunatly, I spaced my camera back at the truck. I could have had some 3 ft pics of the little fawn.

Great picture Mickey. Keep that camera working, love watching those deer.

Amazes me how rough those older fawns can be and the doe just stands there and takes it. Some video I took a few years ago.

You can upload and host videos on photbucket just like photos. It will automatically convert it to .flv format.
