don't know about super d but have heard nothing but great things about them ...but love my mowhawk sparrow hawks....and I don't know how much longer he's gonna be making them.

quiet. ..smooth draw....good speed...great craftsmanship. ..great finish work.....shoots where I look.....and did I say quiet?

I'm sure you wont go wrong either way.

I've read nothing but good reviews about Mohawks but can't say I've ever shot one. I do own 3 Toelke Super Ds and they are all I shoot anymore. They are beautifully crafted from beautiful woods, well mannered, exceptionally quick and even quieter than they are quick.

I've shot both. They are both very nice and both proven performers. I ended up going with a super D. Because I came across one of the very rare 2 PC. It's unreal how well it shoots and how quiet it is. I'll eventually get another one with different specs. Good luck..

I have had both and still have a Mohawk T/d. Both are great shooters. Super "D" is typical of Dan's work......beautiful. The Mohawk is just a great hard working bow......I really like the Sparrow Hawk model.

I have shot the Super D once...owned a Sparrowhawk for a little over a year and it is absolutely one of the best bows I have ever shot.  I would have to give vote to SparrowHawk and have contemplated getting another just to have as like mentioned...not sure how many more will be made.

I have had 3 Mohawks in 62,64 and 66 inches. These were not Sparrowhawks.I draw about 29.5.I really liked the Mohawks.Especially the 62 incher and 64".

I like the looks and design of the Sparrow Hawk but have not shot one. From the looks its alot like some of the Mild R& D bows I prefer.

The 66 inch Super D I had shot very well and was  soooo quiet. It was the original design

Keep in mind that he did redesign the Super D fairly recently. So its possible that some of the reviews of that model could be of the older version?Which would be outdated if your interested in buying a new one.

Tradgang member Tzolk has had both the new and older model Super D and did a review and comparison I believe of the differences with a few pics. You might do a search for the thread he wrote.

Thanks, I'm thinking of a 62" all osage Sparrowhawk. Wondering if the all osage would change anything about the bow. Got an e-mail in to Vince, haven't heard back yet.

Heard nothing but good about Mohawks.  The Super D, I have owned one and it was like all Toelkes, top shelf.  Very diminutive and slender bow that is so easy to shoot well.

Don't forget about the Dwyer Original.  Absolutely ace crescent D shaped r/d bow that is smooth and very snappy.

And then let's not forget the Northern Mist Superior.  A real sweetheart.

And the offerings from Liberty, Great Northern, Leon Stewart...

I love Mohawks. Fine bows. At my 27" draw the 64" model was perfect. RC

Had both, kept the Sparrowhawk because it fit my grip much better. I use an xl glove for hand size. Both are excellent bows finely crafted so it comes down to the grip.

I've had a few Dwyer originals and Super Ds. Both excellent bows. They are different styles. The Mohawk looks to compare more to the Dwyer, the Super D more to the Hill style.

i'm biased towards the mohawk sparrowhawk, partly because i bugged vince about its design criteria.  plus, i came up with its name.   :D

all the mohawks are mild r/d longbows that will brace to that ELB classic "D" limb shape.

they are all extremely stable in the hand and in the shot, very quiet and will push out really heavy arrows with authority and good speed.

i have 29" draw length just placed and order for a new 64" sparrowhawk t/d.

Not shot the super d but have a 64" Sparrowhawk that is super quiet, soft in the hand and quick enough for me. Smooth for my 30" draw. Just a quick quiet bow.
