Asbell Wool, Kalamazoo, Thanks!
« on: January 31, 2016, 08:13:00 PM »
What an awesome time  in Kalamazoo!  I spent the weekend sitting with Fred and Teresa in the GFA booth. What a great way to spend a few days.  I love meeting and re-meeting all of the great folks who come by shopping for wool, or just to chat with Fred. So much fun....THANK YOU everyone for stopping by!

It was nice to see you Roger, I finally picked up the blanket that Teresa made me (AWESOME). With only 3 hours I didn't have much time to visit I was on a mission and spent a lot of time with Ron King (Fox Archery)shooting his Bows and trying to decide which bow I was ordering! Tough decision but settled on his Traditional longbow. It was really nice to see the fantastic bowyer's and vendors that were there. Looking forward to Compton and hope to see you there.

Roger, There was enough wool clothing to fill the men's department in Cabela's. What a great selection Theresa put together for the show.

Theresa knocked it out of the park with that heavy duty green jacket.

I agree Jon. Teresa really tries hard to bring an awesome selection of wool whenever she travels to a show. She is so busy prior to these shows, sewing, sewing, sewing....kinda like that Energizer bunny ;0)

It was great to see everyone at the show again, I made sure I got one of the new Pathfinder 1/2 zip before they were gone!! Went with Evening Stand Green, it blends real well for me in the pine and oak hardwood mix that I hunt around my house and when I'm in the U P.  My wife even bought a vest for herself in Timber Ghost. Great product!!
Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.

I picked up a Timberghost 1/2 zip Pathfinder too.  I am glad I was there to try them on.  I seem to be, uh bigger, than I thought I was!

Great seeing you again Roger, I just picked up the Timber ghost hooded vest and like all the other garments I have purchased from Teresa it is top notch. So far the hooded zip up vest is by far my favorite!

I picked up a 1/2 zip timber ghost pathfinder myself. I love Asbel wool! It was a great show. Be sure to check out the "trad events and gatherings" forum for updates from the Kalamazoo Expo.

I think you guys might be experiencing a little after Holiday swelling   :)

Asbell garments actually run  pretty true to standard sizing, maybe running to the loose side. All of the patterns are made with layering, and the shoulder motion of shooting a bow in mind. I tell folks, buy the same size that you would a sweatshirt.

Every once in awhile this doesn't hold true, as everyone is built differently. Extra large shoulders, a big middle, long arms.....sometimes guys surprise themselves and need a different size than they thought. Sizing for Asbell wool is no more complicated than any other men's clothing.

I only had one Anorak returned because of sizing, and this little fella was concerned about a "trim fit".....I'm pretty sure he also buys "Seattle Fit" at Filson, and had really shiny shoes....
