Bigger set than I have-for sure.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Ben, that first pic brought back memories of Ruark's quote from his "Horn of the Hunter."

"I don't know what there is about buffalo that frightens me so. Lions and leopards and rhinos excite me but don't frighten me. But that buff is so big and mean and ugly and hard to stop, and vindictive and cruel and surly and ornery. He looks like he hates you personally. He looks like you owe him money. He looks like he is hunting you...He makes me sick in the stomach, and he makes my hands sweat, and he dries out my throat and my lips."

Are those critters anything like the Cape Buffalo of Africa?

not at all- pretty docile.
throughout asia they are domesticated and used for traction etc- but i do suppose - if one annoys any animal enough they can get pretty mad.
cape buffalo will backtrack- loop around and ambush the hunter. pretty wiley critters. and they love the very thick bush!

pretty cool though- having any buffalo with in stones throw.

Very few people get killed or injured by our buffalo, but it does happen. I've been thankful for big rifles often enough.
