Woodsman or stinger

Im changing my set up for next fall
Im thinking of stingers or woodsman.
Ive not had the best luck with woodsman (getting them sharp)
But I do like the results my buddy got shooting a doe (hit her way back (went thru both hind qtrs like a slug)
Any thoughts?

Shot woodsman and now I shoot 2 blade stingers. Stingers hands down! Scary sharp! Never got my woodsmans that sharp.

I have not shot a ton of different heads, BUT

I have never had a broadhead fly as perfect as my Stingers.

They are the only head I've shot that I literally could not tell any difference at all between it and my field-points (I do bareshaft tune).

Never shot a Stinger, I am sure its a good head.
Killed piles of deer with a woodsman. I find woodsman very easy to sharpen. Mount the head on the shaft (or screw it in), make five strokes per side, sharpening two blades at once. Rotate the head, and make five strokes on that side. Continue this method on all three sides. Go from 5 strokes/side then 4, then 3 etc. Once this is completed, then I usually make apx 30 light strokes on each side. At this point the head is very sharp. To make it even better, find a piece of cardboard. Use the cardboard as a strop. Unscrew the broad, this makes it easier to strop the head, but you can strop with the head on the shaft. I lay the cardboard on the table, and make 12 strokes/side. Now the head is SCARY sharp!
I have used this method for woodsman, VPA, Snuffers, and Woodsmen Elites, works great on all three blades

KME and diamond stones to sharpen stinger buzzcuts this year for me.  Woodsman on diamond stones work great too!  I use the same stones Steve (BowhunterGA) mentions on his videos on his website.

I'm a big fan of Woodsmans.  I'm proud of the quick kills that I've gotten with them, plus I broke one and Woodsman really does stand behind their product warranty.

I've shot deer with both and I prefer the cutting surface of a 3 blade myself.  I've had great blood trails with 3 blade heads...not that 2 blades are bad.  Its just in my experience, the 3 blades leave better blood trails.

I've shot three deer with the stingers. They worked great. Just wish they made them in 200 grain.

They all fly good when tuned. I've got some three blade VPA's I want to try during turkey season.

I'm kind of surprised how many folks have voted Stinger.  I've never used the Stingers so I have no opinion on them, but I have used Woodsman's for years and tried many other blades and always end up going back to either Woodsman's or Snuffers.  

For me personally, I will always opt for a 3 blade hole over a 2 blade surgical slit when it comes to blood on the ground.  I completely understand the 2-blades on lower poundage bows.  In fact I shoot Zwickey 2-blades on all of my set ups that are less than 55lbs...just to ensure I get 2 holes.  But most of my bows are 60 or above, and I much prefer those 3 blades.

Never used the Stingers but, have had great success with Woodsmans.  Don't see myself changing anytime soon.
