A while back Izzy started a thread about how special Silvertips are and I ordered one because of that and all the guys who I respected thought so highly of them. One of my goals was to meet him one day, well man plans and God laughs... I am so sad as we all are. So hard to understand this....

My heart always aches when I hear of loosing a brother in blue. I never met him, but always heard good things about him. Prayers for strength and healing for all of those affected.

Terrible news. I found out on FB today. I never met him, but had conversation here on TG. It's in God's hands. I think He deserves a place up top for a while. RIP Izzy and family.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Very sad and tragic loss. Prayers sent. It is especially shocking when the details are delved into a bit.
When the time is right, I hope we can do something nice for his son.

May god bless IZZY and his departed wife and son .May god help his son and remaining loved ones in this time of need. In my mind I see IZZY standing with his bow nexed to the South Branch of the Moose River as I wade around a bend 2 miles from camp . May he find the peace he had then .
