Made Myself a Quiver
« on: February 10, 2016, 06:36:00 PM »
Before I say anything I want to make sure that all credit for this design goes to Bobby Ratliff of Slate Creek Leatherworks/Highnoonhunter Leatherworks. This is a shameless forgery of his design and it doesn't come close to the quality or beauty of his quivers. That said, Bobby doesn't seem to make these any more and I got permission from Gary Kidd, the gentleman who is currently making and selling these quivers on the auction site to make my own version.
It is all hand stitched, made of English Bridle scraps and green suede goatskin. I know it isn't the prettiest thing in the world, but it is only my 3rd leather project, and it works for me.
Here is a link to the album as I am not sure how to the pictures.    My Quiver Album

Well done

I have made similar quivers but not up to the standard you set with this one.

In this age of factory machine made products it is always exciting to see handwork being done.  Everybody should give making some item of equipment from scratch at least a one time effort in their archery pursuits.
