Which type of grip (high, medium, low) do you prefer and why?

I recently got a new recurve with a high grip and I love the way it comes over the webbing of my palm and I feel like it stabilizes the bow.

The disadvantage is that when I switch between it and my medium grip bows, it messes up my north-south shot location as the high grip shoots lower.

Which do you like and why?

Medium to low wrist ... Mild locator

While I do think a high wrist points better, I use a low wrist because it just feels better to me. I have skinny wrists!

I hear a lot about feel. I like feel to but for me it's about results. I shoot the grip that I hit the target best with. It's no different than choosing the right bow. I wanted a Leon Stewart. Thought with that bow I would shoot great. That was not the case. It's gone and I have moved on. I have settled on a low to medium recurve style grip. It helps me get that bone on bone position that keeps me consistent

I love and shoot really well with a very high wrist. However I feel most comfortable with a low wrist as it's just far more stable.
The least amount of "hand" or contact with a handle will eliminate errors of torque. (Left,right,up,down)

Usually low to medium recurve grip best for me non-bulbous with 5-5 1/8 throat and thumb rest, tried a lot, easy for me to repeat hand placement.

ASL prefer locator.

Medium-high recurve grip is the most consistent and pointable for me, But my bow arm seems to tire faster. Hunting you don't get many shots, so I hunt with a medium-high.

Med-high keeps everything inline (just like pointing your finger)the shooter in for ground has to break his wrist (out of alignment)

I like a straight or mild dish grip on my Hill style bows. My hands are rather small, so I like the grip to be somewhat slender. I do all right with a locator grip, but it just isn't my first choice.

I like a high grip but that's what I grew up shooting. Same reason I still shoot split finger, comfort built over thousands of arrows in the ten years I have been shooting.

I like a longbow slim low grip handle . For some reason the way you have to grip a recurve style grip makes my bow arm shoulder hurt.

I always enjoyed low wrist longbow grips, but I've been shooting a Black Widow PCH with the Asbell grip a lot since early October. I tried not to like it since I'm a self-proclaimed "longbow shooter" (or used to be), but I can't help that my shooting has improved with the grip. The grip is a very personal, very important part of your bow.

Strait! It just feels right and easy and normal or natural I guess that's why.

I can shoot all day long and never get tired or not shoot for a while pick up any of my bows and it feels like I just shot them.

I just love the group that are on tall tines bows I'm not sure why but its seems perfect for me

I like a high grip, or close to it. Target competition background. I barely hang on to a bow.
Even my longbow, I am barely touching it the way I hold it.
I touch index finger and thumb, barely. The rest of my hand is off the bow to avoid any torque upon release.
A high grip fits this perfectly.

YORNOC, I grip mine the same way. Its just how I shoot best I guess. I hold on to my long bow a little tighter now though. Had a nock break on release and she jumped about 2 feet out of my hand and landed on the concrete sliding down the driveway. I wanted to cry! Now I've got a reason to snake skin it though. LOL.

I like a high grip makes my arrows faster.For me difference is about 1.5 inches between low and high grip,or about 15fps.
