Ok, here is an update to my bow. Chad and I finalized on Amboyna Maple veneers. Yes... another Bocote/Phenolic riser!!! sorry it's just too slick to pass up.

These are the pictures I have right now, but I believe he will be sending me some more this morning/today after it is sprayed. Stoked!

Hey Donovan, that amboyna maple is awesome! Now there are at least three new bocote/phenolic risers out there! I agree, "too slick to pass up"! Did you see Tom's bow on this site? He just posted about stump shooting with his new bow. It looks better each time I see it! My bow should be arriving in the next couple of days. Can't wait!!!

Donovan, Those maple veneers are sweet. Since I didn't want to copy you guys I went with a Chechen and zebra riser, I chose a eucalyptus veneer to better match the riser woods, it is the darker veneer in the pic.  I believe Chad started on mine yesterday.

Can't wait to see that riser finished. Fred, Is there color in that piece of Chechen? Almost looks like an iridescent wave. Maybe it's the way the light hit it.

Chad emailed me today and said I'm up next. While not as fancy as you guys I think she's gonna be a looker as well. Here's a pic of my woods.

Tom, I meant to thank you for turning me on to those eucalyptus veneers. They go great with my riser combo.
