Any word on the new Gold tip small diameter or Big Jim's?
« on: February 24, 2016, 06:49:00 PM »
Anyone know if the new Gold Tip Trad micro diameter is out yet?  How bout Big Jims color pattern for the regular GT woodgrains?
I saw there is a lightweight Gold Tip micro diameter on 3 rivers now but not the heavy trad version.
Tedd.

I have some of the new god tip pierce arrows they are really nice, I love the collar system they put in. I'm also shooting the 6mm FMJs and they are nice too

Well Tedd, after over a year in the works, we scrapped the custom pattern idea. My rep had originally estimated a price with a commitment of a 1000 dz shafts a year that was comparable to their current offering.
But once we finally had everything worked out,  they determined that a run of old a 1000 dz would put my cost nearly as high as retail on the current woodgrain GTs so we scrapped the idea all together.

We sell about 5000 dz shafts/arrows a year, but a significant amount of those are blems. The average shop won't get near a 1000 dz in a years time.

The micros probably won't be ready until at least may.

That's too bad Jim, I was looking forward to your custom shafts. How about the components for the GT micro diameter shafts? Are they available for separate purchase, and will they fit other like diameter shafts?

Jim, saw them at NABA and was intrigued with GT's footed shafts.  How long before you have them?  They were nicely done and the crew here will drool on them
