Ive used a lot of Duco building wood arrows.  From my experience,  once a tube of Duco has been opened and lets say half used or so,  even when stored capped.....if it sits around for a while (months or more), it will thicken/almost harden....and it is junk.  I buy a new tube.

The local pharmacy will sell you injection needs, once you figure out how much acetone to use, load it and shoot some into the Duco spout.  Sometimes capping will not seal out the air and it hardens. I like the caps.  Small electrical caps that are threaded work also. Don't leave needles lying around if you have kids. Put them in a safe play, preferably locked.

Eric, I've observed the same thing. Happens with Fletch Tite too.
