Grizzly broadhead 5/16 wood shaft

New to broadheads on wood. Was wondering if Grizzly 125 gr. heads will work on a 5/16 shaft or do I have to buy Broadheads specified for 5/16 shafts?

Sorry I see wood. I'd look for 5/16's heads.

Shad, I've used 11/32 heads on 5/16 shafts on and off for years and it works fine. I believe it gives a stronger fit than a 5/16 because there is no hard line "stress riser" where the back of the head meets the shaft. Mount your Grizzlys and shoot them with confidence.

You will be just fine.
That is no different than mounting an 11/32" shaft to a Tuffhead. That broadhead was designed using what Dr. Ashby has found in his studies.
Dr. Ashby found that having a shaft size smaller than the ferrule of the broadhead increased penetration. I will agree with Fletcher that it should give a stronger fit by totally encapsulating the arrow taper.
Have fun! It sounds like you have a good arrow setup.

Kevin Forrester makes 5/16" shafts with an 11/32" footing to get around this problem. Check out his products!

Forrester shafts are great, also 11/32 are the way to go they open a larger hole for the arrow to slide through.

I don't know if this has carried over to the new Grizzlies, but the older ones were really more of a 21/64" ferrule anyway. Either way they should work fine on your 11/32" shafts.
