Has anyone ever ordered a HHA Bow with regular bamboo core(2-3 lam) and the outer lams carmalized boo? I love the look of the white core boo wood and dark outer lambs.....I thought about getting a half breed or something but I wanted the full potential that an all boo bow affers. Does the different wood really matter? would mixing the different boo effect it?
I am new to Trad Gang but I'll never forget as a kid walking into my local library looking for some books on indian lore or stalking or anything to do with the wilderness....and long and behold there on the shelf in the huntin section was a book called "Hunting the Hard Way"....After reading it I fell In love.....I love Hill style bows.
When I got out of college I decided that before I got married I would get me a Howard Hill Bow....Unfortuantly I am left eye dominant so I have made the decision to sell my bow and hopefully order a lefty.
Howard Hill was left eye dominant, and shot right handed.
So I would not worry too much about that.
It has been said that if you keep both eyes open when you shoot, eye dominance does not matter. You may want to try one of the many methods of shooting.
Something may work for you.
Regarding woods ; speak to Craig or Jason at HHA about wood combinations.
Opinions are as plentiful as splinters regarding wood. Anything anyone says is the "way" remember .... is works.... FOR THEM. I think, everyone should look to find their own way. Borrow from this or that method, but ultimately find your own way
