Those pics are so cool!  Tell her nice shooting!  I can't wait till my baby daughter can shoot her first bow someday.  That will be one of the great days of my life.

Mike at 7 Lakes is the man.  Here is a bday party from yesterday:  http://discussions.texasbowhunter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=381402

Does anybody have any pictures of his adult bows?

I saw this one on the classifieds and had to have it as it was my perfect specs.  So glad I pulled the trigger.  It is like nothing else I have ever shot and is in pristine condition.  There will be much game bagged with this in the future.

Congratulations  two4hooking !!

You could give consideration to framing that one as a "work of art" but I wouldn't because the journey into "Sherwood" with that would be a dream.

Well I had posted some pics of my Great Northern Traditional a while back, put it in classifieds for trade had some very nice bows offered just couldn't bring myself to let go, always thought of a reason to keep. Stained and put a little cresting on some surewood shafts, ground a few feathers my turkey hunting friends donated and while on vacation with the wife and kids fletched them up. Shot them today and minds made up, I really am taking a liking to this bow, would still like one about 5 lbs. heavier but am gonna continue to give her the attention she deserves for now and see what happens. Heres some pics. I think they look good together!!!

So far this week I've resisted temptation twice with the Schulz Saggitarius and todays Big River longbow. You guys keep listing such awesome bows im not sure how much longer i can resist. Good thing I have six great Hill style bows to look over when these things come up. Congrats to the new buyers, those bows were sweet looking.

That is my old Big 5 there, awesome looking bow and a sweet shooter but got to be a tad heavy for me. I hunted with that bow all last year and I missed the biggest buck of my life with it at less than ten yards. I think it was just a case of me crapping my pants.  It was definitely the indian and not the bow, if ya know what I mean. Hope you have lots of success with it.

Today I added another no name Hill style longbow to my Harem that I won on the St Judes auction.
No clue as to the builder, but its all Osage, 69" 69 LB at 28, deep core grip, clear glass and all shooter.
This is the very first shot at 15 yrds, after some tweaking, and set up.
After shooting like this on the very first shot, I have nothing but respect and admiration for the builder of a finely crafted bow.

Glad you like it Paul.  It was hard to part with it but I wanted to do something for the kids.  Might be an even nicer shooter with a good string, I built that string and I'm not that good.

I am on the verge of ordering a reverse handled bow with a bit of extra lean and mean tillering  from Craig.  My wife says I have to actually sell something, I have three guys drooling over my recurve.  I hate selling bows, at times like this I wish that I was rich.

Pavan If I might.. do yourself a favor and check out JD Berry's Morningstar.

He send me his personal Morningstar to try and I was so impressed that I ordered one.

I'm just saying they're worth looking at. (IMHO)

God bless,Mudd

PS: There isn't a thing wrong with Craigs' bows either.

Talked with Steve yesterday and he was gluing up my new Shelton - rosewood riser, black back, white belly, 68 inches, around 62-63lbs @ 29.  He said he'd bring it to the Compton shoot to save shipping

Now that I'll have a hunting weight Shelton I'll probably move my 52lb green-glass 66 incher on to someone else.

Planning on taking this bow to Montana elk hunting this fall - for an all Hill style longbow elk camp!

I have been shooting my 70" Wesley braced at 6.25" but decided to drop it to 5.75" to do a little fine tuning with my broadheads..... DD (my bow's name) seemed to shoot better and brought my broadheads back to center.

Anybody else shoot their Hills braced that low?
