The bow looks fantastic, RC.  I'm looking forward to seeing it all finished.

By the way this thread is just 10 pages away from the 1,000 page mark.  That's crazy

Nice job RC, best of luck with it in the swamps.

Boy Bud, you sure stepped up and into that Centennial.  Got hunting plans for her yet?

Thanks guys. got her sprayed and a grip and rest on her. She shoots very good. I`m tickled. I already have found a few blemishes on her but I am happy it turned out so good for my first in a long time. I`m already thinking about another.
What do you guys think about the Hill bows where the Riser is glued up over all the lams?Got pics? RC

There is a "Mountain Man" Hill bow for sale on *bay. They claim that it was made by John Schulz.

Fine looking bow, RC. You did a great job!

I like the looks of all the lams under the riser, but I've read where a couple of bow makers say that it's more prone to glue failure due to a steeper swept riser.

Fiberglass doesn't bend as easy as wood in a tighter radious, so a wood lam makes for a better bond in this area, especially when using riser material that is naturaly oily.

I`m thinking about putting the riser over the glass as well as the lams and not have anything on the string side of the riser.RC

Nope not a reverse handle. Glue up all the lams and glass and sit the riser on top of it. RC

I think RC is referring "exposed riser fadeouts"  like seen on this bow.  I think that looks great and the next bow I have built will have them.  This is not my bow, but it's a Miller Split Bamboo.

Mike,

Those rounded riser fades look great. Much better than a straight line across in my opinion. That's a tough task I'll bet, too.
