My Schulz bows are just 1/32 over an inch, my Pete George is right at one inch, my Hill blanks are 1&1/8th, but with those that was nearly the maximum width of the blank and I tillered them to have more tip action.  I have never seen one that was 1&1/4", it would be fun to get about a hundred of them together and compare things.

Thank you Jess!!

If there are any math geniuses(I assume that's what's needed) on here that could get the measurements and angles of the eye, anchor and arrow tip.

I kept being drawn(no pun intended) to how upright his head(eye) is in relationship to his anchor.

Am I alone in my observation?

I can do it mudd I just need a better description of what you want and some measurements.

For example if the tail of the arrow is 3" from the archers eye then there is 6 degrees between the eye and the tip of a 28" arrow.  Igrnorring air resistance (above me) the Point of aim should be 120 or so yards with a 180fps speed and the bow was held perfectly vertical.  Now with air resistance it would bring it way back to 60 or 70 yrds I think.

****"Update on the Hog Hunt"****

I talked on the phone with RC today, he's already out in the woods scouting areas for us to hunt. I plan on hunting with RC in the Spring to get better familiar with the area.

Yesterday I also talked to Tarponnut, he can not accommodate a group of 10.

We have 2 options at this point.

#1) We can hunt WMA with RC.
    cost $93.00 license

#2) There's a outfitter that I found in the same area as the WMA, but he can only accommodate 5 people. If 5 guys want to hunt with the outfitter the other guys can hunt the WMA near by. I plan on hunting the WMA.

Happy Acres Expedition, Outfitter's cost is $300.00hunt + $25.00license, must leave a deposit.

Pm me only if you want to hunt the outfitter. If everyone agrees on the WMA the dates are 2/22, 2/23, 2/24.

You know Jeff lots of that stuff in the article is what we disscussed along those miles sunday.  The part about holding the bow like a suit case but not your wifes is a good point about grip pressure.

That paduk will contrast very well with the carmel bamboo.  Clear glass?  That bow sounds really neat and SMOOTH on the draw!

The article has good tidbits to remember about form.     Really gives you an insight to hold onto about the basic principles.

As requested, I posted a new thread with information to our Hill Gang Hog Hunt.

I listed everyone's name that pm'd me and said they want to go on the hunt. Take a look at the list and pm the other guys, we have a year to get better accuainted.

Jesus and I plan on hunting with RC in the spring, so we can be more familiar with the area.

Yesterday when I talked to RC, he was already out in the woods stalking and making plans for our hunt.

As we get closer to the actual hunt date, RC will recommend which WMA we should hunt. There are several WMA's in South Georgia.

First off just got off the phone with a fellar in Montana now the wait begins.

Second I was reading over the article that dragonheart posted and the part about the secondary aiming got me to thinkin and tinkerin.  For me if I consentrate on a object and then try and place something like say a pencil on a secondary point with both eyes open a strange thing happens.  At first I will see two pencils as both eyes are sending the signal but the harder I concentrate on that spot in the wall one pencil will vanish and am left with only one and it happens to be the one seen by my left and nondominat eye.  So for me it seems that my right eye looks at the spot and my left sees the arrow.  So for howard who was left eye dominate if like me this happened then his right eye over the arrow saw the arrow then is "gap" would have been closer to the target.  Or maybe its just me and I am all jacked up.

So I've packaged up the new to me Tembo and it's headed back to MT.  I talked to Jason and Craig, they're going to retiller for 3under, change the grip a little, and all that means a refinish which will fix the spot that had an obnoxious name scratched off the lower limb.  I plan to have them replace it with the more standard "Tembo" during the process.

I really like the bow, but it does seem to shoot smoother and quieter split finger.  But I tend to hit more stuff shooting 3under, so hopefully this reconciles the two.  I simply can't hardly wait to get it back.  It's been hard not to simply start sanding the lower limb at home, but I kind of wanted at least one to stay a true HHA bow.

Chris...that Wes will be a dandy looking bow!  My half breed has the yew in the center core and the caramelized boo nearest the back and on the belly running up the fades, under clear glass....the look is really cool - you'll love it!     :bigsmyl:

Finnally got them on the phone and got it ordered.  Wife knows that I am getting it but not this soon.  A gift to myself for stopping smoking.   :)
Also they said 65" is no problem he just said that I won't be able to walk into a shop and get a string.  :banghead:
