Here's chi Chen and yew halfbreed with the small T/D sleeve. It has what I consider a lot of backset and really shoots an arrow!

Man, I love Hill bows! I love shooting them and looking at them.

That's my only input right now.   :D

I am thrilled to see that it isn't just me.

I have said it many times over, I love shooting any and all bows but there's just one style that immediately transports me to "Sherwood" and that makes my heart soar!

I am going back to only shooting one bow and to keep from changing my plan, I am disposing of all of my other bows. Finding those with the desire to only hunt Hill style, but that may be financially challenged and can use a little help getting into this Hill style game is more of a challenge than I expected.

Roy,
Sorry to hear about your heart. You didn't say you're having trouble with it when I was there Tuesday!     :biglaugh:

I like that bow a lot. Transporting must be much easier with the takedown.

How much backseat does it have? Mine has about 5/8" after hanging a while. After shooting it'll have almost none.

Been shooting my Cheetah a bit. Having a small problem with torquing. elevation is good but my shots are strung out from left to right.Guess I just need to keep after it a bit. Sure is a fun bow!

It has a lot of backset. More than an inch, no change after shooting. I think what happens is when they make the T/D they re-align the bow and it was set up like an old Kramer build when it was glued in the T/D sleeve.

Patrick,

In my experience it hasn't made a difference. Some might say left wing for right handers, and vice versa.
I'm right handed and shoot right wing fletch. No problems at all.

Hi Pat,  I have never had issues with RW/LW. I use natural turkey and goose a lot so in order to use all my feathers, I fletch both without a problem.

The one time I had a problem is when I had a bad fletching jig and the feathers were not aligning well and it caused erratic flight.

Usually the arrows aren't tuned well if there is poor flight, it's not the feathers RW/LW. Although a borderline spined arrow may have the feather/quill hit the bow and deflect a touch more I would guess.

I was thinking about the RW/LW thing today. Funny you brought it up. I shoot RW and I'm right-handed, and I've heard that it doesn't matter. I agree that it means more coming from guys you trust.

Right wing.

Left wing.

They all fly the same------unless you fletch them together.

Learned that the hard way. It was a good lesson to learn though. Served me well.

I have a question.
What's the reason that some bows have less reflex/more stringfollow after shooting them and go back overnight to the original reflex/stringfollow after being unbraced?
