You guys are talking about great new bows, but all I can think about is that the new place I am trying to hunt bears only seems to have small bears. Not that I am looking for a huge bear, but I am hunting for lots of tender, lean, spring bear meat. A small bear just won't do.
Granted, I cannot get into the high country where the big boys live for another week or so when the snow melts a bit more, but dang, why can't a big bear live in the low country?
Well, I will hit it hard this weekend, then think about heading up to the high country to see if I can get in through the snow to one of my honey holes. Until then. . . my bow is craving blood, and getting hungrier by the moment. Here she is 25 yards north east from my bait. Neat rock outcropping, about 100 yards long on a nice, long finger ridge separating two big canyons.
