« on: March 03, 2016, 08:52:00 PM »
I'm up for a new Javaman...probably gonna go with an Elkheart..I'd like to see some new pics of some Javaman bows..
I'm really thinking Black and White Ebony veneers with a Phenolic riser.
Thanks, Jr.

I just missed out buying your old one Guss! Kicking myself over and over. Now you gotta bring up a new one.

I need to get on Greggs list.

My oldest son just got one from Gregg. Talk about a sweet bow. His has Maple burl veneers and a lead wood riser. I am very impressed how light and quick and quiet it is. It's a pure joy to shoot.

I shot Greggs bows up in Kalamazoo...was VERY impressed with how they performed and felt. I had him add me to the wait list that day. The Elkhearts are very nice but I was drawn to the Assyrian and Helms Deep. They just shot better for me.
Enjoy the new bow and post pics when it arrives!

I shot a Helms Deep he has, It was only 50" long. It was unbelievably smooth and quiet. I really didn't notice any stacking. It was almost like a toy but far from it. I really liked it.

I have several "pretty" bows with high contrast veneers and riser wood. What I was looking for in my Elk Heart was something that would pretty well disappear in the woods, without giving up beauty. I described it as well as I could to Gregg and his product matched my vision perfectly. My bow is in the previous "Elk Heart" link above, along with some really spectacular bows. Talk to Gregg and describe what you are looking for and I will bet he can please you.

A lot of the bowyers on this site are artists and craftsmen in equal measure and if you can tell them what you're looking for, they have the eye to make it happen. I own a beautiful Blacktail, an RER and a Chad Francis Judge. I've owned several Chad Holm bows that were works of art. Each of them is different, but each of them is exactly the way I want it and in only two of my bows did I specify the exact woods.

Beautiful Elkheart!
I am on Gregg's list for later in the year.
I did however, reclaim my original Elkheart. She is coming home!
Gregg's bow are works of art, as well as,, shooters.
