Twisternocks? Anyone tried them?

Is anyone else trying Twisternocks in carbon arrows?

What are Twisternocks? They're mechanical nocks that put spin on the arrow immediately upon releasing from the string. No more waiting for air drag to get your arrow spinning.

I ordered a set of six. Install was easy (if you shoot right helical fletch), just pull out the stock nock and replace it with a twisternock. Shooting them requires cocking the nock prior to shooting the arrow.

I compared shooting six standard arrows with six arrows with the Twisternock. The Twisternock arrows consistently had tighter groupings with the shafts more parallel in the target than did the stock arrows.

Unfortunately, the Twisternocks appear to be quite fragile. Of the 6 I started with, 2 broke within the first 15 minutes of shooting. The clear plastic nock portion broke free of the metal insert. At $7 per nock, that's a pretty high failure rate.

I would be interested to see others experiences with Twisternocks.

I kind of agree with monterey.  Gimmic IMO.  I haven't tried them but I personally don't see the advantage and IF they are fragile, even more so.

I saw them at the TBOF shoot last weekend.....I would just use bigger feathers if I had a problem. The fella told me they would give better arrow stabilization quicker to cure the penetration problem that trad bows have.........         He will sell a ton of them I bet!

I guess at 7 dollars a rip and the high failure rate, I will not be trying any in the near future.

I like the concept but My arrow groups are great when I do my part.

A buddy tried them for his training wheels bow and they also broke extremely fast!  I'll stick with more traditional setups, not that Nockturnals are all that "traditional " but they work good for me.

I'm with Charlie. Seem to be way too fragile and the price is prohibitive. Would be surprised if they make it in the archery world.

Someone is always inventing something. I'd give them a try if they did some more engineering and figured out a way to make them more durable.

A fix to a non existent problem.  I tried the turbo nocks, but just wasn't anything to see.

that's what feathers do...nocks have another purpose....another nock company spamed this site so all mention of them have been removed. ...

we will be keeping an eye out for this company to spam as well....nothing personal to the original topic starter....we just get leery of 'new stuff' like this and have to keep Tradgang on target...pardon the pun
