Are the guys east of the Mississippi making it or is Norm? Either way, I'm certain it will be beautiful.

Did someone say Bocote and Cocobolo:

Did you see the one on their site for $9,700.00? And someone will probably buy it.

highlow,
It is $9,750.00
If it was $9,700.00 I'd have been all over it   :D

I have to admit though, the anniversary bow is truly a work of art.

I'm sure you could buy the wood, fiberglass and epoxy for a lot less. Then put it together and carve it yourself. Save a huge amount of money.

Functionally, I understand where you are coming from, however in the case of Norms high price tag bows you're really talking more about a piece of artwork than just a hunting tool.  These are a niche product for aficionados/the certifiably obsessed.  The same argument applies to a Mustang vs a Ferrari.

Exactly my thoughts Chuck!  A friend and I were talking about the Anniv. Blacktail this morning.  The person who buys it, can afford it, and sees the artwork- not just a bow.

From what I understand, the person who does Blacktail's engraving work is in Italy, and also does jewelry for the Pope.  There is a ton of time put in to those bows!

I love to look at those bows on the Blacktail website. I stroll over every couple of days to see what's up. Even the standard is beautiful. The T2s better, and the Legacy bows are amazing.

Sticker shock gets me more when, after buying too many bows, I'm in the diamond store for my wife of 38 years. She is far more deserving than I will ever be but those tiny specs of shiny are very $$$!

I say good for the guys that have the resources and the eye for beautiful bows.

First picture is my latest T2, 58" Australian Corrugate Burl and Macassar Ebony riser with Myrle limb veneers. Very dense wood combo (heavy).

This is a poor picture of the Sitka but it is a 56" bow. The couple who know me will know who stayed in the small tent in the background. This was an Idaho hunt last June. My bear was rubbed.
