Curly Maple TGhost
« on: March 17, 2016, 11:22:00 PM »
Hybrid TD just finished. Riser is light stained curly maple with a phenolic I-beam, cool contrast. Little different riser shape. Limbs are carbon back, curly maple belly under clear glass.

Kent,

you know you can't post pictures of bows if we can't place orders! haha!

That is a beauty, as usual.

Kent,
Is that your standard riser shape now?  Looks much different than past models,  and what is shown on the web site.  I like it by the way.

Burnsie
I've been experimenting with different riser shapes over the past few bows and I think this is my favorite. Been trying to make it a little less blocky looking and flow into the limbs a little better. A sleek profile is a challenge with belly mount risers because the bolts have to be fairly close to the ends so you have to leave more material there. Back mount risers are easy because the bolts are farther in from the ends so you can taper the riser down more.

Thanks Kent, IMO you have hit on something with that version.  Sleek and clean, the phenolic/maple combo is a killer too.  Are you seeing the same performance characteristics as your originals?

Kent, take my opinion for what it's worth. You absolutely nailed the riser shape. It flows very nicely into the limbs. I like your other take down riser, but I love the shape of this one!

My own prized TimberGhost has an upcoming date with a gob. Certainly don't wish to this special bow. I have routinely been stood up.
