I normally shoot 50-53#.   A couple of years ago I hurt my shoulder and had difficulty pulling my hunting bow.  I borrowed a 45# Howatt Hi-Speed from my son, found some arrows that shot and traveled from Colorado to Kansas where I shot this buck on the 3rd day of my hunt.  I got a pass through shooting a STOS head.

A good friend of mine broke his collarbone in late August and had to cancel his elk hunt.  I sent him a set of 41# limbs for his bear takedown and he killed a nice 8 pt buck the end of Oct.

Some very nice animals taken with 40-45# bows. Just goes to show, sharp broadheads and proper shot placement will get the job done as long as you stay within your ESR. Thanks to all for sharing your pics and info.
