It's good to see this thread still active! I love looking through all the success hunters have had with lighter equipment. All of my kills have been with 48-52#, except for small game. But it's nice to have proof to show the rookies and nonbeliever's of what can be accomplished. Great job everyone!

Several years ago I had a wheel shooter come up to me while I was hunting with my 45# K-mag.
He asked me " can you actually kill something with that?"

My wife shoots 40# at about 26. This buck was at 12 yards. Complete pass through from a ground blind on a double lung dead sideways hit and I had to wiggle the firmly embedded Grizzly on the 2016 shaft from a tree root. He didn't even know he was hit and wondered off 40 yards and fell over. She has cleanly killed several deer with this set up. Girl can shoot!

Found this guy last year and took him with a 44@30 BW 2114 shaft and a 145 grizzly. Hard shoulder hit going in. Almost made it all the way through the opposite side. He went maybe 25 yards and fell over. Really glad I was using a Grizzly.

Here's my Sept 2017 bear shot with a 40# modified Quinn Stallion (homemade riser). It was a hard quartering away shot (in the picture you can see a bit of blood from the exit hole in front of the left leg) and was a clean passthrough. Died in sight 20 yards (and just a few seconds) from the hit.
