I'd say neither, (hey, you asked for advise! Haha). If they both have drawbacks, sell them and buy something that would be perfect for him. Archery, like many things, has exspensive roads you can take. And sometimes when you look around it seems that its the ONLY road. But thats not the case. There are both new and used options out there that can be had for not much more than you'd get for those bows. Maddog, Samick, and Bear are examples. A used Bear Grizzly can be had for +/- $150, and they have been go-to bows for generations of archers and bowhunters. The reality is that starting with the right equipment can often make the difference in someone (especially younger folks) sticking with something and enjoying it.
If you're dead set on using one of the mentioned bows, I'd choose the Martin. Sand down the riser, shape the grip to fit him, stain and then seal it. There'll be a sense of ownership after that. Then adjust brace height and use wool puff silencers properly mounted, maybe 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom if shes really a noisey gal. Good luck!
