Crazy year- acorns
«

I was out checking trail cams today, and cam across a few acorns that looked like they were freshly chewed on. I picked one up next to it and pried it open with my knife. Hard to believe there are still good acorns out there, but I have seen hogs and deer after them in the last couple weeks. Like I said. Crazy.

Bisch, the deer didn't even have to get up around her just lay around and let the acorns fall in their mouths. They were everywhere!

Wheat fields in SW OK we're so green it was kinda tough if you weren't in the perfect travel corridor. The acorns were thick as all get out but once it got close to dark you'd better be in between them and the grasses.

The acorns were so thick last year that it is still like walking on marbles when you talk through the woods. I agree jt85 I said many times last year that the deer just have to stand up and walk a foot to have a feast, but your statement was probably more accurate.

Yes, there are still tons on the ground, but what I can't believe is that there are still acorns that haven't soured yet. That amazes me.
