I sure ain't shot as many critters as Terry Green has using  Delta broadheads, but the ones that I have shot gave GREAT bloodtrails, even with less than perfect hits! (2 blade) That is the main reason that I use them!  My only concern with Deltas is penetration from tree stands, since I'm now only shooting 42-43 lbs.

I'm not sure why folks are worried from tree stands...not being a smart alleck....but deer are nothing but a paper grocery bag full of shaving cream and some tinker toys and ONE ball joint...just lean to shoot and stay away from the ball joint as NO head is guaranteed to go through the ball joint.

A friend of mine hurt his shoulder and dropped down to a 44 at 27" recurve I gave him.  He wondered what would happen if his Delta would hit the scapula, he tended to shoot about 3 inches to the right at 20 yards.  Wouldn't just know, he did.  He found out that there is a heart behind that scapula, the deer went down at full speed in about 75 yards.

I have shot through deer scapulas twice with Zwickey Eskimo 4 blades.  Not intentional of course.

Great heads for sure, the only reason I don't use them is the weight...too light for me on a wood shaft. If they would make a 160-175 Delta 4 blade I'd sell everything else and use them. I'm not a FOC nut by any stretch, but I do like the front of the arrow more heavy than light.

Sharpened my deltas today. When i put the edge on a paper it cuts it with ease. But still not shaving hair. I only have a whet stone with a coarse and fine side on it. Shoyld i buy a file? I have no problem sharpening a knife on the stone to a hair shaving edge. But with the zwickey its another story

Westbrook, look at Tim of Braveheart Tusker Delta.  Pretty much a 160 grain version of the same.

Johandre,
It's more work with a whetstone only. Also strop them on a leather - even better if you can use some sort of mild abrasive. I use 2000 grit silica rubbing compound spread on the belt before hand.
Stick with it and it shall happen.

Tusker Delta's just came in, they are in stock now and website will be updated shortly.

The Delta's are my favorite Tusker.  For some reason they always fly beautifully despite being a larger 2 blade.

I remember the guy that shot a polar bear with a Z once...didn't realize a second bear had walked in behind the 1st....killed them both.

Interesting...this was in the 70 when we all didn't know SQUAT about FOC UFOC, UFOS or the ACLU.
