Bows just break once in a while! I have had a couple break over the years, and it always sucks! If you got 4-5yrs out of a sub $150 bow, I'd say you done good!
Good thing is it did not fail at full draw and injure you.

I'd tell this story to the importer or dealer you got it from and I wouldn't be surprised if you get a new riser out of the deal for free

Got a replacement riser from jstegner on Saturday. I took it out today, but didnt have any luck on the gobblers. Me and my 4 year old son camoed it up with his washable paint. As long as it doesnt rain on me, itll work out. The nonprecision painting actually looks alright. If I were a gobbler, I would admire it so much I would just come and lay down in front of the hunter...
