Just put this on another post but thought I would start another thread for people that might do a search in the future.  Hope it helps a few!

OK...There are a couple ways to do it in Photobucket but we will use the one mentioned above.

1st....click on the picture you want to post and get it to look like ....

THIS...(different pic of course).

Once there look to the right and you will see the 4 box stack labeled "SHARE THIS PHOTO" with the following lables..."Email & IM", "Direct", "HTML" and "IMG"....from top to bottom on the left.

Looks like THIS!

You want to work with the "IMG" portion of this box.  Put your cursor on THAT BOX and click it. It will quickly say "copied".  DO NOT right click and "copy" just a simple regular left click should do it.

Then...go to your post box for Trad Gang...a different screen.  Put your cursor in the MESSAGE BOX ..RIGHT click and then click PASTE!  You're done. You will see the code post into the box...not the picture.

WILL LOOK LIKE THIS!!

Then write what you want to post above or below the picture...as seen above....and post it.

Once you've done that...you should get THIS.  (your picture of course.)

Thats it......!!            :clapper:

Thanks, Patrick. I just learned a little simpler way than what I've been doing.

I will also add that it's not a bad idea to click "Preview Post" (here on Tradgang) before you post, and you can see whether or not your picture is there before you actually post.

Thanks there is a forum explaining all this and it amazes me how few people actually still want to learn how to post pictures ....we had a post from a long time member a couple of weeks ago maybe 12 years on tradgang and he still couldn't figure it out I don't think he wanted to take the time to tell you the truth the way popped off on the thread.... said this site was so difficult he could hardly even log on much less figure out how to post a picture like it's our fault....

Terry, you can lead a horse to water, but........

I have had a terrible time logging in to another site and they state very plainly that they will not help.

I just quit going there   :)

Never saw that forum Terry.  Guess maybe cuz I never looked?      ;)

Thought maybe some visuals of the pages might help. I reckon some people don't cruise around and manipulate their computer too much for the various options out there.

Hope it helps someone out!!

Anyone know how to do it with flicker? Frankly this site is the only reason I still deal with Photobucket.

Flickr requires you to use the codes provided under the Share menu on the photo on the individual photo page bottom right, either the HTML or the BB, depending on what the forum in question accepts.

Just grab that code and paste it in the image box on Trad Gang.

I know how to post pictures here with Photobucket and have done it, but using a second site like Photobucket, with its popups, ads, and temperamental idioms, can be an unnecessary pain in the butt when I have perfectly good pics stored on my computer, phone, flash drives, etc, ready to post without incident in seconds. It's frustrating enough that I've gone elsewhere to start and participate in threads where posting pictures is a little easier and more direct.

That's how I post pictures using photo bucket too, it's so easy. Then to post more pictures, just click the arrow on the right or left side of the picture and it scrolls to the next picture and the same box to the right stays there.

I have test posted a few pics here from photobucket. I did not like Imgur. They wanted to much personal info to make an account for my liking. I use my IPad for almost everything and at times going from photobucket to TradGang everything freezes up. I wonder if there is a way to post pics from my ICloud account? Any one?

SKITCH

I think iCloud would be like posting from your computer so probably not ,,,but not sure.

I agree on the freeze up problem with photo bucket.  I think it's because they have so many pop ups and other things loading up hat causes it.  Bothers me to the point of not using it. Prefer Imgur for ease of use.

Stitch, that is what is fuzzy about ICloud, Photobucket. Basically both are "storage places". I for one do not plan on another desktop. I find my IPad easy to use as well as more portable. I am going to go to a laptop to replace our aging Windows desktop. If my IPad would accept thumb drives I would just another IPad.
