Hill Style bow for kids, anyone making them?
« on: April 17, 2016, 07:54:00 AM »
Are there any bowyers that make Hill style bows for young children? My son will be 4 soon and I'd like to move him up from his PVC bow, lol.

I have a "Yukon" form Northern Mist for my grandson.

Check out Howard Hill Archery.  Craig makes a Bear Cub longbow for kids.

Wait - you said 4 years old.  Sorry, the bear cub from hha might still be too much.  Just got the catalog from 3Rivers yesterday and in the kids bow section they have the Mini Mokelumme.  It's 36 inches and can pull as low as 9 lbs. It looks Hill Style too.  Not a bad price either.

Hey Cavscout I bought my grandson the mini Mokalume. Great little bow. I can't imagine how little the bowyer makes on these. Great quality. He will be three next month

Looking at your son's age, the Mokelumne is probably the ticket. Can't beat that price, either.

Brian from McBroom bows may be able to make one.

I've got my eye on the Mini Mokelumme from 3R for when my son's big enough. It looks just like a mini version of my Bear Montana.
