Trad Fall Turkey
« on: October 20, 2007, 10:54:00 PM »
Haven't posted in a long while. Seems life has given me a full plate, real full. But I'm looking forward to some Fall turkey hunting with the bow. Anyone else getting the fever. It feels good to be back on the board posting. My bud made me this trumpet caller, going to put it to good use opening day. It has an old henbone mouthpiece.

We have a split season in the fall on the MS River. Gobblers are flockeded up. I use to bust them up but now I spot and stalk.....slipping up on a group of 8-12 gobblers in a food plot is the ultimate..Feathers over Hair!
Aim down your arrow because thats where it's going.

Nice looking call, I'm looking around for some birds to go after with my Hill. Had been seeing them last week but now they have vanished as usual   :banghead:

Yea! Stalking turkeys keeps ya movin' alright. Still looking for that blind, deaf, sleeping eight point buck we hear tell about.  ;)
