Full metal jackets vs axis traditionals

I know any properly tuned arrow is good but I am really looking for a comparison.  I have been shooting the full metal jackets for a little while now and really like them but they are expensive. I am actually looking for an arrow that is as close to them as I can get but a little cheaper. Any information would be appreciated.

I shoot just plain old black Easton Axis shafts.

I love'em to death.  They are about as bullet-proof as an arrow can get in my mind.

I shoot both and the Axis Trads are just great. I shoot 49# LB & RC ... Axis Trads 500's cut at 29 1/2 with 100 grn brass inserts and 150 BH's and 145 FP's .... same combo with the FMJ's

I put alum collars on the Axis Trads I use for stumping .. 2016's I think ... they are indestructible

Axis Traditionals 400 uncut full length with 50 grain brass inserts and 150 grain heads fly very well for me. 5" helical shield cut feathers...paper and bare shaft tuning showed perfect for me from a similar bow. Just under 18% FOC. Another data point for you.

In my experience, Axis and Axis traditional are more durable than FMJs.

I have shot both and will suck up the price difference and stick with the FMJ. Penetration with them is amazing and there spine is way more consistent arrow to arrow.

I would have to agree.. I started shooting Trads first then went to FMJ's. I still shoot trads out of my Jeffery bows, but out of my TallTines I only shoot FMJ's. When comparing the two with identical specs the Trad is weak where the FMJ is dead on out of the TT.
