My biggest buck back from Taxidermist
« on: April 22, 2016, 09:14:00 AM »
Well I got the call the other day saying my buck was ready to be picked up! The taxidermist said it was the biggest form in that model he's ever had to order and could only think of one buck that he's done that was bigger body wise. I put this buck on a piece of driftwood I picked up in Georgia while I was on a PBS hog hunt. I shot this buck on November 14th with my Schafer Silvertip recurve at 37 yards with a complete passthrough.

That looks terrific! Love it.  Fitting way to honor an outstanding buck.  Wonderful shot too!

Best regards, Chase

Wow...Beautiful deer and mount!

Is that a wood stove below it?  May want to consider moving it to a different location to avoid the heat drying out/damaging it though.

Thanks, it's a wood pellet stove and it doesn't put off any heat except for the pipe going through the wall and the glass door in the front. The top and sides of the stove are room temp and you can touch with your hand at anytime without it being warm. Thanks for the lookout!

Wow stunning buck, missed the original story but clearly you can both hunt and shoot.  Nice!

Congratulations, a beautiful animal!
