I will be hunting out of a blind next week and was wondering if I really needed camo?, can I just wear a black sweater?, because from my view on the outside of the opening of the blind, it looks just like a black hole

I wear black in the DB Matrix. You blend into the black .

Inside a tent type blind you absolutely want to wear black. Especially over your head. You face is the shiniest part and just smearing a little burnt cork wont be enough.

If you are deer hunting, it is a must to use the netting over the windows. The black holes you speak of spook the deer. Shawn

I never could shoot through the netting worth a hoot.
There sure is alot of air around a squirrel...eeyup.

Try shooting thru the netting with the  broadhead you will be hunting with and tune if you need to.

You'll most definitely need to use a cut on contact Broadhead to shoot through the netting, don't forget to wear black gloves on your bow hand, it's the closest thing to the deer,

And you don't want have the netting too tight on the windows, if you have it loose, it will flex with your arrow, and it will not affect your shot accuracy.  I have used a double bull for the last two years, there a great tool.  As long as you're blind is brushed in, and you use the screen netting, you will do fine.  When you brush your blind in, make sure that you break up the straight lines of the corners and the roof.

Enjoy your ground experience
