Neet calf hair tab with felt finer spacer. You'll never look back.

I shot the Fred Eichler tab for a few years and liked its minimalist design.
However, I picked up a Black Widow split finger tab which is a little thicker, and I don't know that I'll ever go back now.
It took a minute to get used to, but I even love the little flaps that protect the inside of your fingers from developing a callus.

I prefer calf hair tabs. They are smooth, last reasonably long, and they are not unduly expensive. But, in all honesty, I don't notice much performance difference in any of them. As long as they protect my finger tips I am good to go. They do need to fit, though.

started with FabTab but ended up changing to Bateman Cordovan tab from 3Rivers many many years ago. I always keep one on me..one in my pouch...and an extra in my truck. Seem to drop them in dark in woods and never find them.
Great product though and I like the finger spacer as well...and they are adjustable so when I have gloves I can make them fit how I want in cooler weather.

Bateman Cordovan with finger spacer for me. Used them for years. They wear like iron.

Fred Eichler and BW tabs are what I prefer, just switching back to tab from glove myself. Have a Safari Tuff tab as well but just a little too short for me.

Bateman cordavon is my choice. Made going from glove to tab very easy for me.

Agree with cordovan but it can vary among the manufacturers. Bateman has good cordovan leather that reminds me of expensive shell cordovan shoes, like the old Wilson (black widow) tabs of the past used to be when they were made with cordovan.
I use Fivics cordovan tabs with hard cordovan and leather palm plate. Fivics stopped making them last year but still make several more expensive versions of cordovan tabs with aluminum palm plates. Have an Infitec with an aluminum palm plate but the cordovan is not slick as the old Fivics plain jane model or a Bateman tab. I would say Bateman would be the way I will probably go for the future. Use one of their powder patches (Bateman) now for baby powder with my tabs and it makes them slicker than a mule in a brier patch.

I use a Bateman cordovan tab, slick release and virtually no signs of wear after well over 3,000 shots.

[/IMG] Tabs are a personal choice and there are some great tabs and cheap tabs out there. One of the most important aspects of buying a tab is to buy the right size.Just like a lot of folks I have a shoe box full of good intentions. My hand measures 3.5" across the palm. That being recorded I bought large Tabs until the light went off and I took a chance on a smaller size(small)and it made a huge difference.

Thx for all the input! I ordered a neet cordovan for now just to try one and see if I'll even like it or not. If I do I can always upgrade.
Thx again!

Eagles Flight cordovan tab. Hard to beat. Well made and very slick. They're a sponsor.
