Good luck Ken...have a blast with your boy! I'll be out in the morning with my brother and his youngest will be with us for his first spring turkey action. The birds are on the property...now we just need some cooperation..

I haven't seen near the number of birds I usually do.  The winter of 14/15 I had turkeys on my front porch and all over my lawn.  This year, I saw one hen roosting across from my pond last Wednesday evening, that's been it.  My neighbors have told me they have seen fishers around here for the first time.  I'm guessing that can't be good for turkeys.  I may take a walk in the woods tomorrow if it's not raining.  I won't be turkey hunting until I see more birds, a lot more birds.   :archer2:

I'm not going out but I have seen more birds around than normal.

I went out and listened this morning. Three different tom's going at it hard, one I messed with last year is doing the exact same routine this year. But the weather man says rain so I'm sleeping in tomorrow guess I'm getting soft . Good luck you guys.

Cool Picture Sean.

I went out this morning.  I saw 2 different Turkey Tracks but didn't see nor hear a turkey.  Of course the guys were working on the train tracks pretty close, which made it difficult to hear anything.

I made a move about 10, found an area with good sign and sat down, then it started raining and I figured if I left, I would only return to chores so I sat and got wet.

Clothes are drying for another try tomorrow.

Sunday was a wet day but I went and I'm glad I did. We had action from 6:30 until about 10 am. Called in one gobbler and I choked on the shot. He is light a few feathers on his back but otherwise none the worse for wear. I had 3 more toms come around over the course of the morning but I couldn't get a shot at those guys. I hope to get out again soon. Good Luck all!

Went out yesterday and was at my desk at work by 7 AM.  7 Jakes were jockeying to commit suicide. Since the stripers are running I helped one out. There were 11 gobblers around. The 7 Jakes and 4 longbeards. Went after a longbeard this morning and had one coming in nicely and then two girlfriends showed up. They didn't like me.
