Couple More ST Judes Tippit Knives...and the Pick Is
« on: May 06, 2016, 01:26:00 PM »
Now I'm getting into the St Judes Spirit.  The rush comes on like a tidal wave every May...just thinking about helping the St Jude Kids.  Here are two 8 1/2" hunter & chopper blades in Black Walnut and I have two or three more in the works.  Once I hold can hold all the finished knives, I'll know which one will be up for auction...tippit

Just my opinion, but I'd lean towards a 2 to 2-1/2" blade neck knife if you have one Jeff.  A man can do a lot with a good small knife.  Neck knives way cool!

I'll always treasure my Tippit, but may feel the need for another.  BTW, I have a beautiful piece of Cocobolo that I got when Dan made my bow to make a handle if you need/want.  Could be a beautiful match for a lot of bows.  Just say the word and it's yours

I'm liking both of those!

Fred,
That's funny because of all the knives I make...the one I actually wear is a small no handle neck knife.  It's very thin and you don't even know it's under your shirt...until you need it.  Especially nice when in a tree stand where your belt knife just gets in the way.

Jeff.  Quick question.  Where did you get the inspiration for your style of knives? They definitely have their own look.  Simple, sleek and obviously WORK as many have praised them.  Thought it would be interesting to hear. Also, any influence from your professionals the types of tools you uses there?

Thanks
Patrick

I love that chopper!  Don't put that in, it'll cost me big time I'm sure.  Good thing I've been putting all that overtime im.

A friend who is a chef helped me design the little chopper.  We had fun tweaking it to just what he wanted.

The Pick for St Judes is the Black Walnut drop point hunter with a cross draw cowboy sheath.  Bid it up for the Kids.  Thanks...tippit
