Chunk it, dip in egg, roll in flower pan fry with butter in a cast iron skillet with morels and ramps. Spice to taste.

I guess from the overwhelming response that there are many people like my self ,who absolutely love turkey hunting and have many beards to show for it but not one solid go to recipe . It kill me because unless I come up with some way to prepare this great game bird , may become a turkey watcher instead of turkey hunter. Too great of a game bird to kill just for the thrill . P.S. I do however use all the primary feathers to fletch my woodies !

Heck, my wife just bakes it in an oven bag like any other turkey.  Comes out just fine.

Here's what we recently did, and it turned out great!

Marinate (we will use buttermilk next time)

Egg and  dip in a mix of flour and Panko bread crumbs.

season to taste (we used a cajun mix).

Deep fry 6-8 minutes.

Enjoy!
