Is it probible to get onto some hogs. I am after any tips I can get.  Where they hole up.  Where they feed.
How likely is it that I will get lost?

Any info is appreciated.

You could get really, seriously lost there, it is the biggest wilderness area east of the Missippi.

Terry;
Your pictures are answering all my questions.
Whether pigs are sighted are not, the place definately looks worth the trip.

I just hope I can squeeze it in before Feb. 28th.  That is the end of the season isn't it?

I'd love to go if there is an "Old Farts" area that would not not require climbing mountains and steep ridges. Between a bad back and mild emphysema, I would probably cramp you young
healty guy's styles.
How about it Terry. Any areas with easy to moderately strenuous hunting opportunities? I have no problem walking several miles as long as it ain't up. Course if it's down, I've got a problem once I get to the bottom. LOL! Will a GPS unit work in the lower areas this time of year with most of the leaves off?

Yep......small game season closes Feb 28th.

Yep.....there's a few 'old farts' areas.

Yep.....we might be able to put a hunt together.  Least for a Saturday...but I might could come up and get some guys started during the week if need be.  Its been calling me pretty bad since I only got to hunt it for 4 days during bow season.....back in Sept.

Believe it or not.....that's about 3000 ft elevation....off the side of Bald Mt.....ferns off the north, and briars off the south.

There's shear cliffs, and places flat as a pancake....there's places you can see 300 yards, and places you can't back through.  There's 2 wild and scenic rivers, and countless rough creeks.

95,000 acres of WMA, and 33,000 acres of Wilderness slap dab in the middle.

Aint skeered of bears are ya?
