Hey Bob, how long of a trip are you figuring from Clarksville?  I know at the rabbit hunt the idea of a hog hunt in east Tenn. was tossed around.  But that place looks pretty awesome.

Bald is not a bad area to hunt south west side of the ball field is easy walkin , tearbritches trail can get rough. bear wont bother you odds are you wont see any they denned up now or probably low acorns didnt hit at 3000 this year most were at 200 or lower in the fall seen 4 bear and pack of hogs no shot.
better carry meat sack you wont want to drag up there.

Hey T,
You know I am willing and mostly able!  With a little notice Dan and me will be up there in a jiffy!  This may be a way to work off the holiday overconsumption.  I'd bet we could get hogless and JC, and maybe even those more southern guys (SOS, Oconee Dan, Lynell, etc.) to come up.  Man, I love that place!

Sat Feb 24th?......that's the only Saturday I can get in....and have no problem running up there for a one day dash.

And like I said earlier.....if someone wants to start hunting during the week, I'd be glad to try an help them out logisticaly, and meet them up there if possible.

What's the nearest town?
1) Gen. 21:20

Yep, the side we enter from Chatsworth is the closest.  Due east from Dalton GA. Dalton is right off of I-75.  We enter from several locations off of HWY 411 that also runs north and south.

Guru......there's always the TBG hunt in Sept. which includes deer and bear.

if I'm looking at map quest right it's only 7 hours away. That might be doable?
