Cari-Bow Featherhorn
« on: May 25, 2016, 09:22:00 AM »
Guys,

Still debating on the next longbow...

I really like the looks of the featherhorn but cant find a whole lot of information on them??

At my 27" draw a 62" should be a great stable bow?

I would love to hear from those that have experience with this specific bow, and of course would love to see some pictures!

the featherhorn is a great bow. my 62" is drawn to 30" & super smooth, so at your 27" it should be like silk.

Great looking Featherhorn Stickhorse.

thanks for the info.

I bought my Caribow Featherhorn last year.  Yew, cocobolo and kingwood.  62 inches long, 52 pounds at 26 inches.  I wanted a bow for backpacking, and goat hunting.  Short, but not a radical reflex, shrew like design.

I love the handle design.  Comfortable, repeatable and naturally pointing.

The artistic, personal touches are great.

I went with the two piece design.  LOVE it!  goes together securely, flawlessly.  A perfect, tool free design for backpacking and travel.

I have and continue to thoroughly enjoy this bow and would not hesitate to do business with Abe again.  I do plan to one day, hopefully soon purchase a wolverine from him.

Thanks for the info!

that is a Beautiful bow as well!

Keep it coming guys.

I would really like it in comparison to the Whip.

I have a mental picture of a 62" Featherhorn with antler handle overlays/tips and possibly all bacote handle/veneers.

Another Featherhorn kill. I've shot a number of longbows but Abe's bow is the best...for me...longbow I've ever hunted with.

Kevin,
That's awesome. Now I'm really excited about getting mine. I have a 64" takedown Featherhorn coming about August.

Dan, I hope you have plenty of success with your new bow. I think my 64" is about as inherently shootable and accurate as any longbow I've ever owned. It really gives up nothing to my recurves for overall results.

The logical person to talk to is Abe...he knows his bows and he knows the results bowhunters get with his bows...he wants your buying experience to be a good one

I need to call Abe, but anyone know around what his current lead time is?

I would love to see some more featherhorn pictures as well! Especially those with antler overlays.

When I placed my order in March Abe said his wait time was about 8 months.  Not sure what it is now.

mine was a year.  I can say it was worth the wait, but the wait was somewhat excruciating nonetheless.

Abe probably has as many instock bows as any bowyer out there...that is how I got my Tuktu EX without having to wait
