I do what Burnsie says on my longbows, but they're ASL string follows so not much needed.

You can use half a unit on some bows...but we have to sell the unit we KNOW will work on ALL bows.

Thanks again, the orders are hard to keep up with!!!!

The girls will be along shortly with a thank you!!!!

Terry/Bow Hush gals,
Don't change what you're doing! Comments above are just to let guys know some bows won't need full set and it's a tip more than a directive. I always order extra sets whenever I place an order so I've got some in reserve anyway. You never know when you 'find' a new bow by chance and why wait for more silencer material to get it all set up and tuned when you can have a couple of sets at a very reasonable price in reserve.

I finally got my bow set up with Bow Hush and Hush Puppies over the weekend.  I am now 100% with Roger on the Awesome evaluation.  My fears about how my first recurve sounded are gone.

My wife watched me putting the Hush Puppies through the string.  Her comment was 'That looks ridiculous,  how is that going to make your bow quiet?'  Of course at that point I hadn't cut them down or plucked them in.  When we shot together later in the weekend I was behind her when I shot the first arrow. Now it was 'WOW that stuff really works!'

Thanks for a great product Terry.

I have the "Recurve Special" on the way from Terry. I have a 47# Bear Kodiak Hunter that I hope to get as quiet as possible. I have shot longbows and wood arrows mostly since 96, but I am down to the old vintage Bear as my only bow since I gifted my longbow to my son. I will be launching GT 400's with a heavier head with weight yet to be determined. I am interested in seeing the difference between my Surewoods, Gt 500's with 145 head, and the GT 400's with heavy head along with the addition of this product.

Well this thread has convinced me to try them. I've been looking at them for a while but just never pulled the trigger. I recently bought a new Bear Grizzly and it is not as quiet as I would like so I will give them a try and see for myself what happens.

You will be happy. It's one of those rare products that works better than advertised.

I just ordered but it was enough for two strings? 16$ seems to be a deal.

Plus just the fact it goes to two young entrepreneurs! course I imgine they are getting older by now.

Now I got to get off my duff and get a couple new strings (SBD strings) I plan to put them on! lol

I have the soft side of some velcro on my limbs where the string makes contact. Should I remove this before I put the bow hush on my string?

Yes, no need for the Velcro. The bow hush will take care of that.

elkhunter45,
I'm shooting a Kodiak Hunter that was gifted to me as well.  First time I shot it I thought I had a banjo in my hands.  Got my brace height down to 7 3/4 and that made a huge difference.  After the Bow Hush and Hush Puppies all I hear is a quite little 'thump'.  Still working on my arrows.  Hoping a heavy woodie will take that last little bit out.
